Announcing the Caitlin Book

I am as delighted as I possibly can be to announce that HarperOne will be publishing my memoir, the “Caitlin book,” otherwise known as LITTLE MATCHES, in early 2021.

I began writing this book a little over two years ago with much encouragement from readers of this blog. Thank you. And thanks to everyone in my daily life, especially Nick, for the constant support and encouragement.

The past few years have not been easy. But with this book, our kitten gets to live a bit longer.

“I always pull back and picture myself in time and in space geographically. It makes me removed enough to ultimately feel that there is not much I can do to change the shifts of the world, but also inspired enough to think – what is my role in this lifetime?”

  8. Dear Maryanne,
It is Nanci from Pittsburgh! I met Nick and you at The Dinette a few years ago and we also attended a book club together with you presenting your book. I have stayed in touch every so often via email or your blog. Congratulations on the release of your new upcoming book, “Little Matches”, a memoir about Caitlin!👏💕. I look so forward to reading it in 2021. You are an excellent writer and with your deep and abiding love and connection you have with Caitlin, I am sure it provided you with a guiding light in the writing process. We had communicated via email that I had to retire due two lung diseases and have spent the last 1.5 years getting to a stable health era in my life for awhile. If you are ever in Pittsburgh and your schedule permits, I would love to see you for a coffee or glass of wine. I have not forgotten you or Caitlin with her journey in Pittsburgh waiting for a lung transplant. Take care and thank you for your blog as well keeping us as part of Caitlin’s and your life stories that are intertwined through the heart and through the spirit forever. Nanci♥️
